Certified in an established program called "Art4Healing", Crescent Moon Center's director will facilitate a theme-based two-hour art workshop using acrylics, watercolors, pastels and collage. It is a fast-paced painting project created around themes and questions within the themes, some allowing only 2 minutes to respond to. At the end of each exercise, participants are encouraged to share about their painting experience and the emotions involved. This is an educational exercise, and no prior art experience is necessary.

Center participants will have access to a well-equipped art studio which allows self-expression through art in an unstructured environment, selecting from a range of materials such as paint, clay, etc. An Artist in Residency will provide a peer mentorship to all particpants.

Nonprofit Manager
We are seeking a Nonprofit Manager for a part-time position that is hybrid, a combination of in-office work in Lafayette, remote work from home, as well as on-site work at a ranch and nature preserve in Solano County for programs and events.

Purpose of Role
The Nonprofit Manager plays a key role in ensuring the alignment of our work with our mission and vision. This role requires an expert project manager who coordinates activities throughout the organization and supports programs and events with administrative tasks. We are an inclusive team and require significant collaboration in all aspects of our work.
Qualities and Qualifications
Crescent Moon seeks a person who believes in our mission, and lives in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate must have experience with nonprofit management, as well as some degree of personal experience with addiction recovery, creative arts, or horses. The applicant must have the capacity to engage compassionately and supportively with underserved and under-resourced communities.
Responsibilities

Programs
-
Assists with all administrative aspects of program and event planning, including registrations, logistics, and impact data tracking
-
Assists with the administrative aspects of program outreach and promotional efforts such as project management and contact list management
​
Board of Directors​
-
Organizes Board meetings and materials, produces agenda, collects and serves all documents to board members
-
Attends meetings, records and circulates meeting minutes
-
Liaison and support for Board of Directors, Advisory Committees and Task Forces
​
Nonprofit Management
-
​Bookkeeping tasks which include paying bills reconciling business checking account on a monthly basis
-
Preparing financial statements and budgets for board meetings and grants
-
Researches and maintains registrations to comply with federal and state regulations for nonprofits
-
Keeps the annual forms which non-profits must file up to date, as well as ensuring all related fees are paid
-
Files registrations in states in which we seek grants
-

Manages memberships in associations and other organizations
-
Tracks data and assists with producing reports for board, donors, and grants
-
Maintains donor database, processes and tracks donations
-
​Ensures acknowledgment letters with tax-exempt information are sent to donors
-
Documents donor interactions, monitoring and responding to donors as needed
-
Administrative​
-
Opens and responds to mail, and regularly checks voicemail
-
Organizes computer files and creates systems for record management;

​Scans and files documents, digitally and/or in hard copy files

Provides administrative support to Executive Director

Coordinates team meetings and maintains office calendars

Project management support
-
records team meeting notes, follows up with team members on action item, updates and maintains the project management system (Monday) to keep projects moving forward

Manages Human Resource related tasks

Other administrative duties as required

Development Communications

Updates and produces contact lists in excel and donor management system

Coordinates direct mail campaigns and newsletters

Provides administrative support to development communications projects as needed (ie Annual Fundraising Campaigns & Impact Report)

Coordinates and serves as a liaison with local and regional contacts, partners, and sponsoring organizations

Internet research as needed

Bookkeeping

Working knowledge and ability with computers and software.

Current software include quickbooks, outlook, excel, word, powerpoint (Office 365), Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, Bloomerang, and Monday

Compensation
$30-40 per hour based on experience
Part Time Flexible Hours: 10 - 20 hours per week depending on need and availability
Full Time possibility in the future.
